*STAR* has benefited over the years from the generosity of the community — both residents and local government — to help fund its efforts to reverse the economic decline in Stanardsville and restore its vitality as a key gateway to the Blue Ridge.
Since the organization’s start in 2005, local individuals have contributed approximately $165,000 to this revitalization effort. County and local governments, corporations and nonprofit foundations have contributed more than $235,000. These generous donations have made it possible for the revitalization program to continue for the past fifteen years and to fulfill the match requirement for the VDOT streetscape grants.
Continued success of the revitalization program is dependent on the contributions of local government and donations from individuals like you. Your tax-deductible contribution is especially needed now as *STAR* is spearheading a fundraising effort on behalf of the Town to raise additional funds for the Phase II Streetscape Enhancement Project.
